Barely four days to the Osun State Governorship Election, Police Officers that will be on duty have been warned against unethical conduct.
According to Police Service Commission, which gave the warning, any policeman found wanting during the election would be dealt with according to the law.
Its Chairman, Musiliu Smith, gave the warning in Abuja, saying the commission will deploy forty of its personnel to monitor the conduct of policemen during the election
Smith said the monitors would be deployed to the three senatorial districts and thirty local government areas of the state.
He said the monitors had been given the guidelines for monitoring the conduct of police officers on electoral duty, saying the monitoring will serve as a test run for the twenty-nineteen general elections.
Smith said the commission had released dedicated telephone lines for Nigerians to call in the event of any infractions.
