The Prayer and Support for Nigerian Armed Forces and Other Security Agencies (PSNAFSA) expresses its deep sorrow over the recent tragic loss of officers and other victims of the Nigerian Air Force aircrash at Igbokoda, Ondo State.
The Group commiserate with the Chief of the Air Staff, Air Marshal Sunday Kelvin Aneke, the Nigerian Air Force, and the families, colleagues and friends of the personnel and other victims who lost their lives in the unfortunate incident.
It is deeply saddened by the loss of these precious lives in the crash, which painfully reminds us of the risks faced by personnel of the Armed Forces and other security agencies in the discharge of their constitutional responsibilities to our dear country.
PSNAFSA stands with the Nigerian Air Force family and all those affected by this incident, while acknowledging the courage and selfless sacrifices routinely made by those serving our nation.
The loss is not only a devastating blow to the Nigerian Air Force but also a profound tragedy for the families, colleagues, friends and communities of those who died.
Its Convener, Ambassador Mary Abayomi-Fatile called for sustained and improved support for the Armed Forces and other security agencies, particularly in the areas of intelligence, equipment, logistics, communications, aviation safety and personnel welfare.
Furthermore, the group urge relevant authorities to continue to strengthen the capacity of the nation’s security agencies by providing them with appropriate platforms, equipment and other resources required to carry out their duties safely and effectively.
At PSNAFSA, believe that supporting those who protect the nation is a collective responsibility. The men and women of our security agencies cannot be left to confront increasingly complex security threats without the necessary institutional, operational and public support.
The group therefore urge Nigerians not to become desensitised to the sacrifices of security personnel who lose their lives in the service of the nation, knowing that behind every fallen personnel is a family left to cope with the consequences of such losses.
PSNAFSA prays for the peaceful repose of the souls of the departed, while asking God to grant their families, colleagues and friends the strength and comfort to bear the loss.
We reaffirm our commitment to supporting the Nigerian Armed Forces and other security agencies, while promoting stronger public confidence, understanding and meaningful partnerships between security personnel and the communities they serve
