Nigerian Security and Civil Defense Corps (NSCDC), Kaduna State Command, on Thursday said it had recorded 77 cases of death in fire disasters and road crashes in the state in 2016.
Command’s Public Relations Officer, ASCII Orndiir Terzungwe, disclosed this in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Kaduna.
Terzungwe said the command had also rescued 139 victims of road crashes and fire disasters and admitted them to hospital for treatment during the year.
According to him, the command also secured the conviction of 21 persons on criminal cases and civil matters.
He said the command had not recorded any pipeline vandalism in the state during the period.
Terzungwe said the command would continue to raid and prosecute any criminal elements in the state,and urged the public to give the security operatives maximum cooperation and useful information.
