The Ogun State Commissioner of Police, CP Bode Ojajuni has deployed massive crack police personnel to Sagamu troubled zone with an assurance that perpetrators would be fished out.
CP Ojajuni assured residents of Sagamu and its environs that there was no cause for panic after an alleged security threat.
Ojajuni said detectives were already combing the forest to that effect.
He reassured the public following reports of a security incident around the J4 area of the Sagamu–Benin Expressway on Thursday, June 25, 2026.
He added that upon receiving a distress report, police operatives responded immediately and swiftly activated a coordinated security operation.

On the directive of the Commissioner of Police, the Command deployed four units of Police Mobile Force personnel, operatives of the Anti-Kidnapping Unit, and other tactical teams to the area.
An intensive bush-combing exercise is ongoing, with the deployed operatives making significant operational progress in tracking the fleeing suspects, dominating the area, and ensuring the safety of commuters and inhabitants of the corridor.
The Command wishes to state that there is no cause for alarm.
All necessary security measures have been put in place to ensure public safety.
