The Governorship Candidate of the All Progressive Congress, APC in Ogun State, Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola, popularly known as Yayi, has fulfilled his promise to provide 50 solar street lights to the Obafemi Owode Zonal Community Development Committee (CDC) in Ogun State.
The solar street lights were delivered after the zonal CDC’s stakeholders’ meeting at Owode Egba Town Hall, following a reminder by the Chairman of Obafemi Owode Zonal CDC, Engr. Adeleke Adegboyega, about the senator’s earlier commitment.
Adeola had made the promise on 3rd October, assuring the community of 50 units of solar street lights to illuminate its ultra-modern zonal hall.
According to a statement by the Media and Publicity Committee of the Obafemi Owode Zonal CDC, the senator responded to the reminder by ensuring the 50 units were delivered in less than two hours.
The statement said offloading of the equipment had commenced at the zonal secretariat, while installation was expected to begin today.
The CDC described the senator’s prompt response as a demonstration of his commitment to community development and responsiveness to the needs of the people.
It expressed appreciation to Adeola for fulfilling his promise and supporting the development of communities in the area.
The committee said the gesture would contribute to improving the environment around the zonal hall, adding that the senator’s support and commitment to community development would be remembered.
