Prayer and Support for the Nigerian Armed Forces & Other Security Agencies has congratulated the Nigerian Army on rescuing 360 persons held captive by Boko Haram militants in the Mandara Mountains, Borno State.

The group commended the Nigeria Police Force for securing the release of the sister and twin of Honourable Adelabu.

Its Convener, Ambassador Mary Abayomi-Fatile described both operations as remarkable achievements that deserve the appreciation of every Nigerian.

She saluted the bravery of security personnel and prayed for God’s wisdom, strength, and grace as they continue to protect the nation.

Fatile appealed to security agencies in all states to intensify efforts toward freeing school children and teachers still in captivity, saying every day they remain with abductors wounds the nation’s conscience.

She urged the public to choose encouragement over condemnation, noting that troops serve under difficult and dangerous conditions, often spending months away from families to ensure peace.

Security is a shared responsibility,” she said, calling on Nigerians to adopt the mantra “If you see something, say something” and promptly report suspicious activity to the nearest agency or emergency lines.

She also charged political leaders to avoid weaponising the suffering of Nigerians for political gain, warning that “the tears of kidnapped children and grieving families will echo louder than any campaign promise.”

The group declared “Enough of insecurity. Enough of bloodshed. Enough of kidnapping,” stressing that Nigerians deserve peace and that leaders and citizens must unite in vigilance and support for security personnel to build a safer country.

They stand guard through rain and shine, spending months and years away from their families, sacrificing comfort and safety so that all Nigerians may live in peace.
