In commemoration of the International Africa Industrialisation Day, the Lagos State Government has disclosed plans to commence year 2021 Africa Industrialisation Day/ Young Africa Industrialisation week on Tuesday, at the Adeyemi Bero Auditorium, Secretariat, Alausa, Ikeja.

In a statement by the Commissioner, Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Cooperatives, Dr. Lola Akande, the fou-day long event which will be declared open by Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu is themed, “Industrialization Africa: Renewed Commitments towards an Inclusive and Sustainable Industrialisation and Economic Diversification”.

She said the four-Day long event will show case new initiatives in the Industrial Sector in Lagos State while encouraging more contributions of the sector to the overall economic growth and development of the State and Nation.

The Commissioner noted that the event will present model Projects designed by Students across the State and also new initiatives of Young African Industrialists.

She further explained that the Industrialists Week will provide a platform for exhibitions, daily Lectures and Paper presentations by erudite Scholars on topical issues affecting Industries and the public presentation of the Award of Excellence to Outstanding Industrialists in the State.

While commending African Industrialists for their creative science based researches and fabrications exhibited in previous years, Dr. Akande emphasised government’s commitment to promoting Policies and providing infrastructure that would encourage sustainable growth and development of the Industrial Sector.
