In the spirit of Eid-El-Kabir celebration, Personnel of the Lagos State Police Command were today commended for their commitment and resilience in combating crimes and criminality in the State.

They were admonished to sustain the already established formidable security structure, as the command cannot afford to relent in its efforts in securing the State.

Commissioner of Police, Hakeem Odumosu, made the plea at a feast for officers and men and friends of the Police Command at the Command Headquarters.

He assured them of his readiness to relate with the Police headquarters, the Lagos government and relevant stakeholders in providing the wherewithal to effectively discharge their duties as expected.

The Commissioner of Police, while declaring the feast open, personally appreciated the personnel of the command, especially the rank and files who are the foot soldiers on the field, for their commitment and resilience in combating crimes and criminality in Lagos State.

The police boss seized the opportunity to admonish the entire workforce of the command to sustain the already established formidable security structure in the state as the command can not afford to relent in its efforts in securing Lagos State.

Odumosu noted that the Command will partner with other security agencies, traditional rulers and stakeholders to improve on its anti crime strategies which will make policing easier in the state since the good people of Lagos State have embraced the Community Policing concept.

He therefore encouraged Muslim faithful and the good people of Lagos State to continue to pray and work for peace and unity of Lagos State and Nigeria at large as all hands must be on deck to collectively fight our common enemies.
