Lagos State Government has announced restriction of movement across the State between the hours of eight in the morning and three in the afternoon on Saturday.

The restriction is to enable the Lagos State Independent Electoral Commission conduct hitch-free elections into positions of Chairmen and Councillors in all the fifty-seven Local Governments and Local Council Development Areas.

According to Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Gbenga Omotoso, the restriction will facilitate the ease of movement of the electorate, election materials and officials, effective monitoring and enhanced security.

He said all eligible voters should participate in the elections, which require the cooperation of all residents.
