Members of the public should stop the killing of arrested suspects, as killing of suspects is not the solution to insecurity.

According to Chairman, Lagos State Neighbourhood Corps, Israel Ajao, if anyone arrest any suspect, or badoo member, such should be handed over to the police for investigation and prosecution.

Ajao, a retired Deputy Inspector General of Police, says by not handing suspect to police and killing the suspect will amount to Juggle justice, describing the killing of suspects as uncivilised.

In his word, Mob action on suspected criminology is uncivilised way of handling a criminal, appealing that such action should stop.

Ajao, a member of Lagos State Security Fund, made the plea at a Security Town Hall Meeting in Ikorodu area of Lagos, saying the police should be trusted in the handling of suspects.

He said the police and other security agencies had all it takes to handle the situation, saying all they needed was information, which was the reason for the meeting.

“I want all private security organizations to register with LNSC so that we can work together,“ he said.

The traditional ruler of Imota, oba Mudasiru Agoro, who spoke on behalf of traditional rulers urged security agencies, particularly the police to post their intelligence officers to the grassroots to get information.

He also urged security agencies to share information, while urging the communities to know the people around them.

The meeting had in attendance, traditional leaders, market men and women, community leaders and youth groups.
