Today is Easter Sunday which signifies the triumph of good over evil, light over darkness, redemption over condemnation, and hope over despair.

The commemoration of the special season in Christianity, is always preceded by fasting, piety, humility, penance and prayers of intercession in the build up to the death of Jesus Christ on Good Friday, an event which reunited man with his Creator.

To this end, as Nigeria Christians join their counterparts across the world to celebrate Easter, President Muhammadu Buhari has stressed the need for Nigerians to rediscover the values of peaceful co-existence across the country.

Buhari, in his Easter message, urged the citizens to live peacefully with one another and do their best to make Nigeria a beautiful place to live.

He said government had been working hard to meet the expectations of Nigerians by improving security in the North-East and other parts of the country, saying government would continue to sustain the peace in the Niger Delta by engaging stakeholders in the region.
