Department of State Services (DSS) says it has recorded major successes with the arrests of some terror suspects which have further degraded the capability of criminal elements to operate in the country.
A statement by the agency on Tuesday chronicles a number of notable arrests of crime suspects in different parts of the country in January 2017.
The crimes for which the arrests were made are mainly Boko Haram activities and kidnapping.
The DSS noted that these successes were recorded as a result of proactive and credible intelligence offered by patriotic citizens, and the effective cooperation of sister agencies and other relevant stakeholders.
The Service restated its determination “to sustain the tempo within the provisions of the law as part of its drive towards ensuring the security of lives and property of all law-abiding residents and citizens in the country”.
