Ilorin Emirate Descendants Progressive Union (IEDPU), the umbrella sociocultural organisation of the good people of Ilorin Emirate in Kwara State, has declared that it has absolute trust in the integrity of the Assistant Inspector-General of Police in Charge of Zone, Lagos, Moshood Olohundare Jimoh.
In a statement issued by National Publicity Secretary, Ilorin Emirate Descendants Progressive Union, Suleiman Shuaib Dagbo.
The Union, in a statement, said Jimoh has proving over the years to be a promoter of peace, fairness and justice.
The National President of the Union, Abdulmumini Ayo Abdulmalik, said the people of Ilorin Emirate had been following with keen interest the allegation against the top cop by one verydarkman as regards the Ajiran murder case.
Abdulmalik, who described AIG Jimoh as an alumnus of one of the Union’s schools, said Jimoh has distinguished himself through professionalism, dedication, and commitment to justice.
While the Union does not see anything wrong in the efforts of anyone to seek justice, it warned against destruction of hard-earned reputations of innocent citizens, particularly those who are charged with the responsibilities of maintaining law and order.
Abdulmalik encouraged AIG Jimoh not to be discouraged by the antics of critics but keep on discharging his responsibilities to the best of his ability.
The community leader assured the senior police officer of the prayers and support of the Emir and people of Ilorin Emirate.
