Authorities of the Ogun State Police Command have decorated 430 junior officers following their recent promotion, in line with IGP Olatunji Disu’s welfare-focused leadership.

The decorating exercise took place at the Command headquarters and other formations across the state, with 6 Sergeants elevated to Inspector, 4 Corporals to Sergeant, and 420 Constables to Corporal.

Commissioner of Police CP Bode Ojajuni said the promotions reflect the Nigeria Police Force’s commitment to recognising diligence, professionalism, and dedication on the job.

Speaking at the ceremony, CP Ojajuni noted that timely promotion is key to boosting morale and encouraging officers to remain committed to their constitutional duties.

He congratulated the newly promoted personnel and urged them to see their elevation as a call to greater responsibility, discipline, and renewed dedication to service.

Ojajuni also charged them to uphold the Force’s core values, respect human rights, and operate strictly within the rule of law.

The Commissioner assured that the Command will continue to prioritise officers’ welfare and support initiatives that strengthen institutional capacity and operational effectiveness.

He said the goal is to promote excellence in service delivery and align policing in Ogun with global best practices, while ensuring personnel are motivated to deliver on the Force’s mandate.
