The newly deployed Commander of the Nigerian Air Force Base, Oshodi, Air Commodore M.A. Imam, has received the Chairman of Oshodi-Isolo Local Government, Otunba (Dr.) Kehinde Oloyede-Almaroof.

Oloyede-Almaroof is at the Airforce Base, Oshodi, as part of deliberate efforts to further enhance peace, safety, and security across Oshodi.

Welcoming the council chairman and his entourage, the Air Force Commander expressed appreciation for the visit, noting that he had heard extensively about Oloyede-Almaroof’s impactful leadership and development strides.

He disclosed that he had been taken on a tour of several projects executed by the chairman within the Air Force Base, including internal roads, street lighting, and borehole water facilities.

Imam added that available records indicate that Oloyede-Almaroof is the first council chairman to execute such infrastructural projects within the base.

The Air Commander reaffirmed that the core mandate of the Air Force is the maintenance of peace and security currently being enjoyed in Oshodi and its environs.

He, therefore, requested guidance on critical areas requiring enhanced security presence, assuring that strategic patrols and operational support would be deployed to sustain law and order.

In his response, Oloyede-Almaroof reiterated that the council has continued to enjoy a cordial and productive working relationship with the gallant men and women in uniform.

He assured the Commander of accelerated approval for security-related requests, stressing that the council recognises their sacrifices and remains committed to their welfare.

He said, “I welcome you to Oshodi and I’m sure we will have a smooth working relationship. Oshodi is peaceful, and we are determined to sustain the peace and ensure that lawbreakers face the full wrath of the law. We hold our men and women in high regard and we shall continue to partner with you.”

To appreciate the chairman for his projects and humanitarian efforts within the base, he was presented an award.

The commander equally requested the intervention of the local government in the area of solar panel street lights in which the chairman immediately gave an assurance that it will be installed immediately.

He gave a marching orders to the engineer for prompt installation.

In the entourage of the chairman include the party chairman, Hon. Saheed Animashaun, Chief of Staff, Hon. Leke Banjoko, Alh. Hassan, Barr. Asine, Hon. Olubiyo, and P.A. to the chairman, Wasiu Olayiwola.

In the meeting with the commander include
Squadron Leader Francis, Flight Lieutenant MK Adekanmbi, Flying Officer SJ Tule, and Flying Officer HM Kolomi.
