The Crime Reporters Association of Nigeria, CRAN, has congratulated the Force Public Relations Officer of the Nigeria Police Force, Benjamin Hundeyin, on his promotion to Assistant Commissioner of Police, ACP.
It describes Hundeyin’s promotion as a well-earned recognition of professionalism and consistent performance.
The Association notes that the elevation reflects the growing importance of credible and strategic communication in modern policing.
Its President, Olalekan Olabulo, in a statement praised Hundeyin’s tenure for its transparency, intellectual depth and constructive engagement with the media, which has strengthened public trust in the Police.
Olabulo also commended the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Kayode Egbetokun, for approving the promotion, viewing it as a clear demonstration of merit-based leadership within the Force.
He highlighted Hundeyin’s balanced approach to information management and his role in reshaping police-media relations through professionalism and openness.
Olabulo expressed confidence that ACP Hundeyin will continue to deliver strong leadership in his new rank.
He reaffirmed the associations commitment to partnering with the Nigeria Police Force in promoting responsible crime reporting and effective security communication nationwide.
