The Executive Chairman of Agege Local Government Area, AbdulGaniu Obasa has reaffirmed his support for the development of sports in Agege and its environment.
During a courtesy visit by Orile Agege Committe on Sports led by a Sport Analyst Oladipo Liadi ahead of the “Run For Asiwaju 2027” Mini Marathon, the Chairman expressed his readiness to support sports at all levels stressing that it is a tool for development in any society.
Obasa also applauded the committee for coming up with such a project adding that he will fully participate in the marathon.
In another welcome development, the proprietor of Lagooz Schools and the current President of the National Association of Proprietors of Private Schools (NAPPS) has also affirmed his support for the mini marathon which will hold on the 25th of January, 2026
Otubela described the initiative as a strategic move adding that it is worth his participation and support.
He further stated that he intends to work with the committee has a sponsor with regard to the planned Orile Agege primary school games.
