
The Lagos State Police Commissioner, CP Olohundare Jimoh has decorated thirty-five newly promoted senior officers of the Command.

The promotion exercise saw thirty Superintendents of Police elevated to the rank of Chief Superintendents of Police, and five Deputy Superintendents of Police promoted to the rank of Superintendent of Police.

CP Jimoh while congratulating the officers, described the promotion as a clear demonstration of the Inspector-General of Police’s unwavering commitment to professionalism, motivation, and reward for excellence within the Nigeria Police Force.
He noted that the exercise underscores the fact that hard work, dedication, and discipline are recognised and duly rewarded and should serve as further motivation for improved performance.
On behalf of officers and men of the Lagos State Command, the Commissioner of Police expressed appreciation to the Inspector-General of Police, Olukayode Egbetokun for finding the promoted officers worthy of the confidence and responsibility bestowed upon them.
He described the exercise as a morale booster that will further enhance operational efficiency and effective service delivery across the Command.
CP Jimoh charged the newly promoted officers to demonstrate greater diligence, discipline, and professionalism in the discharge of their duties.
He emphasised that higher rank comes with increased responsibility and accountability.
Jimoh expressed confidence that they would continue to contribute meaningfully to the safety, security, and protection of lives and property in Lagos State.
The Commissioner of Police felicitated with the officers and their families on their well-deserved promotions and conveyed the goodwill and best wishes of the Inspector-General of Police as they assume their new ranks.
