The police communicator, who until now was the spokesperson of the Lagos State Police Command, was announced today as the successor to DCP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, who had held the post since 2021.

Hundeyin, a widely respected officer with a background in English Language, Legal Criminology, and Security Psychology, is expected to bring a fresh approach to police–citizen engagement, transparency, and strategic communication as the image-maker of Africa’s largest police force.

With his appointment, Nigerians will be watching how Hundeyin bridges the gap between the Force and the public at a time of heightened demand for accountability, trust, and security sector reforms.
