The Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators of Nigeria (ICSAN), has paid a courtesy visit to one of its most distinguished senior members, Elder Mike Okoye, FCIS, at his residence in Lagos.

The visit, led by the President and Chairman of the Governing Council of the Institute, Funmi Ekundayo, FCIS, was part of a broader initiative by the Institute to recognise and appreciate long-serving members whose contributions have significantly shaped the development and prestige of the organisation.

Accompanying the President on the visit were the President-Elect of the Institute, Uto Ukpanah, FCIS, the Registrar/CEO, Babatunde Oladipo Okuneye, ACIS, and the Deputy Manager, IT, Julie Bassey, ACIS.
In her remarks, Ekundayo noted that Elder Okoye’s name is etched in the annals of ICSAN as one of the most consistent and forthright contributors to the Institute’s mission of promoting good governance, ethical leadership, and professional excellence in Nigeria.

She described the visit as “a gesture rooted in gratitude and camaraderie,” emphasising that ICSAN does not forget the labours of its heroes.

“Elder Mike Okoye stands as a towering symbol of the values we hold dear at ICSAN, some of which include integrity, diligence, and unrelenting commitment to the cause of good governance.

Today’s visit is our way of honouring Elder Okoye and the ideals he has so passionately upheld over the years” the President said.

Clearly moved by the visit, Elder Okoye, who warmly welcomed the delegation, expressed profound appreciation to the Institute.

Beaming with joy and visibly energised by the presence of his professional family, the elder statesman said the visit had revived his spirit and brought immense joy to his heart.
