Mr. Bakare-Oki disclosed that an expansive and highly strategic operational blueprint has been activated, entailing the calculated deployment of LASTMA operatives across critical transit corridors and historically congested junctions within the Lagos metropolis.

Reiterating the Authority’s steadfast resolve in upholding road discipline and vehicular order, Mr. Bakare-Oki issued a categorical admonition to all road users—particularly commercial drivers—against flagrant infractions such as indiscriminate parking, unlawful passenger pick-up or alighting at unauthorized locations, and the egregious violation of one-way traffic directives.
He emphatically warned that errant motorists will face the full weight of the law, including immediate vehicle impoundment and prosecution before the Lagos State Mobile Court.
The General Manager further noted that all frontline personnel have been fully outfitted with operational essentials—including high-performance raincoats and reinforced safety boots—thus ensuring uninterrupted service delivery under varying meteorological conditions.
While exhorting all motorists to embrace an elevated sense of civic mindfulness and responsible conduct during the festivities, he passionately appealed to the general motoring public to exercise utmost restraint, adhere to stipulated speed limits and exhibit courtesy and mutual respect towards fellow road users.
“We urge all residents to abide by extant traffic regulations and synergize with our officers to cultivate a serene, secure and orderly traffic environment that embodies the noblest virtues of Eid-el-Kabir,” he concluded.
