The Lagos State Traffic Management Authority, LASTMA, has inducted three staff members of Radio Lagos/Eko FM, Modupeola Adagun, Peter Olayinka, and Deola Orisile, as Special Traffic Mayors in the state.

The Agency also inducted traffic reporter Olufemi Obayomi as a Special Traffic Mayor.

Its General Manager, Olalekan Bakare-Oki, stated that the induction serves as a recognition of the organisation’s continued efforts in tackling traffic challenges and improving urban mobility.
Bakare-Oki, who spoke through the Director of Advocacy and the Special Traffic Mayor Department, Jimmy Awoyemi, noted that their induction as Special Traffic Mayors signifies another key milestone in the state’s ongoing commitment to transportation advocacy and road safety.
He highlighted the importance of collaboration in supporting the government’s efforts to achieve effective traffic management, encouraging them to continue delivering real-time updates on officers’ conduct, road users, and traffic conditions.
Responding, the General manager, Radio Lagos/Eko FM, Jide Lawal, appreciated the honour bestowed on the station’s staff.
Lawal affirmed that the organisation remains committed to supporting LASTMA’s efforts in promoting smoother traffic flow throughout the State.
