The executive and members of Crime Reporters Association of Nigeria, CRAN, have expressed condolences on the passing of DCP Akinade Adejobi, elder brother of Force Public Relations Officer ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi
CRAN mourns the passing of Deputy Commissioner of Police Akinade Adejobi, who departed in the late hours of Saturday, 5th April 2025, after a courageous battle with illness.
According to CRAN, DCP Adejobi was a dedicated law enforcement officer whose unwavering commitment to duty and service set a standard for all, throughout his distinguished career, he demonstrated exemplary leadership, fostering collaboration and integrity within the Police.
CRAN in a letter of condolence signed by its President Olalekan Olabulo, the group said their hearts go out to ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi and family during the incredibly difficult time, saying the loss of a loved one is never easy, and they can only imagine the pain and grief they must be feeling.
Olabulo said ACP Adejobi’s brother’s dedication to serving the Nigeria Police Force will always be remembered, and his legacy will live on through the countless lives he touched.
His commitment to justice and public service demonstrated his characteristic amiable nature and we have no doubt that he will be deeply missed by his colleagues, the community he served,as well as the Nigeria Police
Beyond his professional achievements, DCP Adejobi was a person of great warmth and compassion. He mentored and inspired younger officers, instilling in them the values of responsibility, ethics, and service. His approachable demeanour and genuine care for others made him a respected leader and cherished friend to many.
DCP Adejobi’s sudden death resonates deeply within the Nigeria Police Force and the communities he served and protected. His legacy will continue to inspire current and future generations of police officers, reminding us all of the importance of integrity, dedication, and compassion in our duties. His impact on the community is evident in his work with the Police Mobile Force Squadron at Ago-Are.
