The Lagos State Police Command have arrested a 32-year-old step-father, Samuel Alfred, for allegedly defiling and impregnating his 14-year-old step-daughter.
Police Public Relations Officer, CSP Benjamin Hundeyin, confirmed the arrest.
According to Hundeyin, a case of conspiracy and defilement was transferred on February 21, at about 4.30 p.m., from Okokomaiko Division tó Gender Unit, Lagos State police command.
He said the case involved a 30-year-old woman, who reported about the defilement of her 14-year-old daughter against her step-father, one Samuel Alfred, 32, of Igbo Elerin area of Lagos.
The image maker said the woman reports also mentioned the step-father’s friend, one Obi Ikechukwu, 21, of no fixed address .
“The woman alleged that her husband has been having sexual intercourse with her daughter when she was 11 years old.
“She said sometimes ín October 2024, he did the same and got her pregnant; while his friend, Obi Ikechukwu also had sexual intercourse with her while pregnant on the pretext that the act would abort the baby.
” The two suspects were arraigned in court 9, Ogba and they are remanded in Kirikiri correctional centre, while casefile duplicated and sent for Directorate of Public Prosecution (DPP’s) legal advice,” he said.
Hundeyin said that the third suspect, on March 3rd, at about 3.30 p.m., the case was transfered from the office of DSVA to Gender Unit, Lagos State command, through a referral letter from the DSVA.
According to him, the case was reported by a woman, living at Magbon Alade Ibeju Lekki, on behalf of her 12 years- old grand-daughter.
Hundeyin said the woman reported against one 57-year-old Agbaraojo Wasiu, of same address with the complainant.
“The complainant alleged that the suspect defiled her grand-daughter on the 4th of February 2025, and threatened her not to reveal it to anyone unless she wants to die.
“The suspect was arraigned at Ebute Metta Magistrate Court, Oyingbo on March 5th and was remanded at Kirikiri Correctional Centre. The case was adjourn till April 4th for DPP’s advice.
