Precisely in August this year, a group of men and women in Yotomi Golden Estate an estate with more than four hundred residents came together to form the Community Development Association, CDA with a vision and mission to rescue residents of the Estate from poverty and corruption.

With an election carried out by the Obafemi Owode Local Government Area of Ogun State, on the 31st day of August 2024, the Yotomi Golden Estate got a Community Development Association, CDA executive as being chaired by the Chairman Comrade Babajide Alli-Balogun a Veteran Journalists, Human Rights Activist, Unionist, Communicationists and Security Consultant.



The CDA Chairman is running the Affairs of the Yotomi Estate CDA with Engineer Comrade Felix Adetula as Vice Chairman, Right Activist Comrade Tunde Agunbiade as General Secretary, Comrade Mrs Roseline Akerele as Assistant General Secretary, Comrade Ishola Samuel as PRO, Comrade Mrs Mariam Akande as Treasurer, Comrade Mrs Aisha Balogun as Auditor, Comrade Mrs Aderonke Olonade as Financial Secretary, Comrade Mrs Sulaiman Olufunmilayo as Women Rep, Comrade Adeleye Adepoju as Welfare, Comrade Walter Awoh as Youth Leader, Comrade Francis Okoro as Assistant Youth Leader, Comrade Pastor Olukoya Olufunke as Ex Officio 1, Comrade Taiwo Adeyemi as Ex Officio 2.



For effective and efficient Service delivery of assignments, the executive set up major committees to handle different operations, projects and Jobs of the CDA professionally, Electricity Committee headed by Comrade Felix Adetula, Security Committee headed by Comrade Samuel Ndidi, Water Project Committee headed by Comrade Salaam Samson, Road Project Committee headed by Comrade Pastor Samuel Akande, End of Year Funfairs headed by Comrade Bamidele Bamigbade.




To this end, the Executive has been able to put in place a three man gang of security operatives from the Vigilante Group of Nigeria, VGN, to man the gates of the Estate both morning, and nights.




The action to put in place the security became necessary following a suspension and subsequent removal of operatives of the Sosafe Security Outfit that had been manning the Estate for a while before the sudden suspension and removal of the operatives by their supposed employer.

Our correspondent reports that the Estate owned by Popular Nollywood Actor Late Alade Aromire was established sometime in the year 2005 with houses built for sale, lands both full plots, half plots and quarter plots for sale to subscribers in Nigeria and beyond.
According to our correspondent, the Estate which is duely subscribed is in dire need of good memorable roads among many others for so many years and to make matters worse the Association that had been Managing the Estate and collecting money from residents roads, electricity and development levy have not only failed but mismanaged the money paid by residents.
Our correspondent reports that it is to this end that the newly formed and elected leadership of the Yotomi Golden Estate CDA has taken the bull by its horns to change the narrative by embarking on the provision of water to residents, good roads, electricity to residents, security of lives and properties.
According to our correspondent, between August and December the newly elected leadership of the CDA have been impacting the lives of residents and on the 28th day of December an End of the year Children and Adult Funfair was held for residents to celebrate and merry.
The Chairman of the Obafemi Owode Local Government Area, Ambassador Adeshina Ogunsola commissioned the roads, water, security post through his representatives Mrs J.D Adeyemo, Mrs AA Odunuga, Mrs Adefeyisan and Mrs Adeola Adeniyi,
Our correspondent observed that the children had fun, dance, played with all available games visited Father Christmas and received parks while the adults also played games, danced and later presented awards to everyone that had contributed and supported to the CDA.
Awards of recognition was presented to all Executive members and residents who supported in no small measure.
According to the CDA Chairman, Comrade Babajide Alli-Balogun, who expressed thanks and appreciation to God Almighty and all residents, the award is to recognise the effort of every resident that contributed to the CDA projects both financially, morally and mentally.
Earlier, the Chairman of the Funfair Organising Committee, Bamidele Bamigbade had expressed appreciation to the entire community for the support and thanked the executives and committee members for a job well done.
