Comptroller General of the Nigeria Customs Service, Adewale Adeniyi, has dismissed the insinuation that all borders have been re-opened.
Adeniyi spoke while answering questions from State House reporters after a meeting with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
He said part of his discussions with the president focused on the need for active engagement of customs administration across our borders, particularly the strategic ones to achieve common objectives of border security and regional integration.
The customs boss said he would embark on an official visit to the Republic of Benin in the next one week to have discussions with the customs administration of Benin on collaborations, border security, importation across the border, and more importantly, the deployment of technological solutions to very complex border problems.
