The Southwest Security Network codenamed Amotekun Corps has vowed to forestall any future terrorist’s attack in the region.

Its Commanders in Ondo, Oyo, Ekiti, Osun and Ogun States spoke when they visited the scene of the attack on Saint Francis Catholic Church, Owo, Owo local government area.
They said they would further synergise to ensure adequate security is provided in the region.
Ondo State Commander and Chairman of Amotekun Corps in the Southwest, Akogun Adetunji Adeleye, who spoke on their behalf, said they were on ground to assess the security situation and proffer own solution with a view to ensuring such an attack did not happen again in the South West region.
He appealed to residents to be vigilant and should not believe that security was limited to law enforcement agencies alone.
According to him, they are feel sad about the attack, because the ‘animals’ invaded the ever peaceful town and massacred defenceless worshippers.
In his words, they are reassuring Ondo indigenes, residents that the executives of all the western states are determined to continue to ensure their security of lives and property are guaranteed.
He assured that even the federal government and all the security agencies are not leaving any stone unturned in apprehending the perpetrators of the dastardly act.
According to him, they need information everywhere to assist in apprehending the people and prevent reoccurrence of the type of incident.
Other Commanders said the attack was to test their will and determination.
Bishop of Ondo Catholic Diocese, Most Reverend Jude Arogundade, who received the Corp Commanders at his residence, charged them to fish out the perpetrators.
He urged them to work together for the peace, harmony and stability of the South West States.
Olowo of Owo, Oba Ajibade Ogunoye the third, who commended the Amotekun Commanders for effectively securing the Southwest region, said they would burst more crime if the federal government allowed them carry sophisticated weapons.
He appealed to the Federal Government to transform the Amotekun Corps to State Police for effective control of crimes and criminality in the region.
