Lagos State Commissioner for Commerce, Industry and Cooperatives, Dr. Lola Akande, has visited LASUTH and Lagos State Emergency Centre where injured students of the Babs Fafunwa Millennium School, Ojodu, who were involved in a ghastly truck accident are presently receiving medical treatment.

Dr Akande, who is the representative of Ikeja Federal Constituency in the Lagos State Executive Council, commiserated with the bereaved Parents and Families.

She said she was deeply shocked and saddened to receive reports of the heart wrenching loss of lives of innocent children, occassioned by a Truck accident at the Ojodu area.

For her, nothing can prepare a Parent for the loss of a child, expressing her deepest sympathy to the families of the innocent children.

According to her, My thoughts and fervent prayers are with you in this difficult times, May God grant you peace, strength and comfort at this time. May we not mourn any of our children ever again.

As a parent and a representative of Ojodu Local Government in the State’s Executive Arm of Government, I feel a great sense of loss and pray that the Almighty God heals the wounds and pains caused by these irreparable loss of our innocent Children.

I also wish to extend my heartfelt compassion to the residents and people of Ojodu and Lagos State in general.

May the souls of our departed children rest in perfect peace”
