Lagos State Taskforce on Environmental Taskforce and Special Offences Unit (Taskforce) has over the weekend impounded eighty-three motor cycles.

This is just as it warned motorcyclists plying prohibited routes to obey the law or have their motorcycles impounded.

Its Chairman, Shola Jejeloye stated this after the operation over the weekend after the mopping up operation of motor bikes plying BRT and restricted Ikorodu highway.

Jejeloye, a Chief Superintendent of Police noted that the agency’s operation had not been extended to Ikorodu because of the road construction that was going on in the axis.

According to him, the agency did not want to inflict hardship on the people of Ikorodu because of the road construction that was going on in the area.

He said road users around the area should obey traffic rules and regulations on that corridor.
