DEATH OF TWO NOTORIOUS BANDITS AND RECOVERY OF RUSTLED DOMESTIC ANIMALS:
On 05/07/2020 at about 00:15HRS, DPO Batsari led Operations “Puff Adder” and “Sharan Daji” to Salihawa village, Batsari LGA of Katsina state based on the report that bandits numbering about forty (40) had attacked the village, killed two villagers and rustled some animals.
The teams chased the hoodlums on their way into the forest and engaged them in a gun duel.
The team succeeded and killed two of the bandits and recovered unspecified number of rustled animals.
Investigation is ongoing.
ARREST OF A NOTORIOUS MEMBER OF KIDNAP FOR RANSOM SYNDICATE:
On 10/06/2020 at about 15:00hrs, based on credible intelligence, the Command succeeded in arresting one Bishiri Mamuda, ‘m’, aged 35yrs of Yantumaki village, Danmusa LGA of Katsina state.

Nemesis caught up with the suspect when he sent threat text messages to one Muhammed Dogo, ‘m’ of the same address, that he should pay the sum of N2 million or risked been kidnapped.

In the course of investigation suspect confessed to the commission of the offence and stated that he collected the sum of three hundred and forty thousand naira (N340,000:00K) and recharge cards of thirty thousand naira (N30,000:00K) from the victim.

RECOVERY OF RUSTLED ANIMALS AT NASARAWA BUGAJE, JIBIA LGA OF KATSINA STATE:
On 07/07/2020 at about 05:00hrs, DPO Jibia led “Operation Puff Adder” to the hideout of one “DUMBAGE”, a member of a notorious camp of one “IDI DOGO”, that specializes in kidnap for ransom, cattle rustling, armed robbery and banditry terrorizing Jibia, Batsari and Safana LGAs of Katsina state.
On arrival the team engaged the hoodlums in a fierce gun duel which forced the hoodlums to abandon all their loots and escaped into the forest.
The team succeeded and recovered thirty (30) cows, thirty four goats, three donkeys, a motorcycle boxer red unregistered, and a damaged Techno GSM Handset.

ARREST OF NOTORIOUS BANDITS, ONE OF WHOM A NOTORIOUS CHADIAN REBEL AT YANTUMAKI VILLAGE, FASKARI LGA OF KATSINA STATE:
On 01/07/2020 at about 03:00hrs, based on credible intelligence, the Command succeeded in carrying out a sting operation at Yantumaki village, Faskari LGA of Katsina state and arrested the duo of Usman Mohd, ‘M’, aged 30yrs, of Chad Republic and One Usman Hassan, m of Sokoto state in their hideout.

In the course of investigation Usman Mohd confessed to be a Chadian rebel and in possession various types of lethal weapons.

RECOVERY OF THREE BAGS OF DRIED LEAVES SUSPECTED TO BE INDIAN HEMP INSIDE MOTOR VEHICLE GOLF AT DANDUME:
On 26/06/2020 at about 07:00hrs, Patrol team attached to Dandume Division while on routine patrol at Badole village, Dandume LGA of Katsina state, intercepted a motor vehicle, Golf III, Wagon, dark red in colour, with registration number AY 282 KWL loaded with three (3) bags of dried leaves, reasonably suspected to be Indian hemp (Cannabis Sativa).

On sighting the Police Patrol team, the occupants took to their heels and abandoned the vehicle.
