Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Hakeem Odumosu has expressed deep shock over the demise of Xavier Ndanyongmong, the Crime Editor of Daily Independent Newspaper.

He described the late Editor as a fine gentleman, a seasoned journalist and a distinguished crime reporter, who covered the activities of the Command professionally.

The Commissioner, on behalf of Officers and Men of Lagos State Police Command, extends his heartfelt condolences to the Executives and members of Crime Reporters Association of Nigeria, CRAN, Management and staff of Daily Independent Newspaper and family and friends of Xavier.

He prays that the Good Lord will grant them the fortitude to bear the loss.
