Nigeria has recorded one hundred and ninety-three new cases of COVID-19, bringing the total number of infections to five thousand one hundred and sixty-two.
According to the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, fifty-eight of the new cases were in Lagos, forty-six were recorded in Kano, thirty-five in Jigawa, twelve in Yobe, nine in FCT, and seven in Ogun.
Plateau and Gombe had five new cases each, four in Imo while three in Edo, Kwara and Borno states, and one in Bauchi, Nasarawa and Ondo states.
The total number of active cases in the country now sits at three thousand eight hundred and fifteen while one thousand one hundred and eighty persons have been discharged.
As at today, the total number of fatalities recorded is one hundred and sixty-seven.
