A middle aged man identified as Kazeem Mustapha is now cooling his heels in police cell in Lagos for alleged murder of an apprentice.

The suspect was alleged to have stabbed the deceased apprentice named Afeez Oluwole on his right chest with a broken bottle as a result of a minor disagreement over N500, leading to his death.

Accordng to report, the victim was rushed to a private hospital, where he later died.

It was learnt that the incident occurred on 25th February, 2020 at about 12.30pm along Madot Estate Fin- Niger, Satellite town.

While confirming the incident, Police Public Relations Officer, Bala Elkana said the corpse has been deposited at the mortuary for postmortem examination, while the suspect will be charged to Court.

His words, ” On 25/02/2020 at about 1230hrs, one Rafiu Dauda ‘m’ of No 36 Alebiosu Street Ijegun, Satellite town reported at Elemoro Police Station that his apprentice Afeez Oluwole ‘m’ 33yrs old was stabbed on the right chest with broken bottle by one Kazeem Mustapha ‘m’ along Madoti Estate Fin-Niger, Satellite town, due to a minor misunderstanding over #500.
Afeez Oluwole ‘m’ was rushed to Holy Family Hospital where he later died.

The corpse was deposited at the mortuary for postmortem examination.

The suspect has been arrested. He will be charged to Court”.
