Nigerian Air Force has commenced aerial bombardments of bandits’ hideouts in Zamfara State.

According the Air Force, the operation is part of a joint military operation, involving Nigerian Air Force, Nigerian Army, Nigeria Police and Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps to flush out the bandits.

Speaking after taking delivery of two airplanes deployed for the operation, Commander of the two, zero, seven Quick Response Group, Group Captain Caleb Olayera said two helipads had already been constructed by the Nigerian Air Force for the Zamfara security operation.

He assured that peace would soon return to troubled communities in Zamfara with the commencement of the military operation.
