Nigeria Police is working with the Office of the Accountant-General of the Federation to resolve issues of payment shortage, attributing this to system error.

It says the office of the Accountant-General of the Federation has assured that affected personnel will get balance of their salary on or before Monday.

According to Force Public Relations Officer, Jimoh Moshood, the office of the Accountant-General of the Federation says that all other issues relating to payment of salary to Police personnel are being addressed.

Moshood, an Assistant Commissioner of Police, also said the Inspector General of Police had charged senior Police Officers to educate their personnel who had complaint, saying they should not panic.

Some personnel of the force claimed that they were short paid by the Integrated Personnel and Payroll Information System.
