
Nineteen suspects are presently cooling-off in the nets of the Zonal Intervention Squad, of Zone two Command, comprising Lagos and Ogun states.
The suspects were arrested for various crimes and criminality which includes; armed robbery, highway robbery, cars snatching, pipiline vandalisations in the nooks and crannies of the states.
Parading the suspects, the Assistant Inspector-General of Police, Zone two Police Command, Adamu Ibrahim said the suspects were caught in possessions of thirty-nine exhibits which included twenty-seven cars, one petrol tanker, two trucks, guns, assorted charms and others.
Ibrahim said three of the suspected armed robbers, had allegedly shot a police corporal, Aladejare Adedeji and collected his AK47 rifle.

According to him, the suspects, who specialised in robbing residents of Ijegun, Isheri, Ikotun, Meran and Salolo along AIT road area of Lagos state, were arrested alongside two of their receivers of stolen items.

He gave the names of the suspects as Kazeem Babalola Oladipupo a.k.a Aka Ire, Rasaki Owolabi a.k.a Anjongolo, Segun Alade Sunday a.k.a M Baba Ife, Adekunle Ibrahim a.k.a Oshodi and Salau Taiwo.
On the highway robbers, Ibrahim said two suspects; Segun Akinde, and Sokunbi Kayode were arrested with a Mazda Saloon Car after they had robbed one mrs Kehinde Oluwaferanmi of Itori area of ogun state in the sum of one hundred thousand naira while pretending to be commercial driver and carrying her from Itori to Ifo.

On car snatchers, he said six suspects namely; Joshua Tabiti Adeleke, Moses Ofoke, Olusheye Arokoyo a.k.a Campus, Ahmed Alli, Folorunsho Ojowuro and Samuel Bolala were arrested by the operatives of the squad with eleven toyota camry saloon cars, three toyota corolla saloon cars, one toyota sienna, one nissan sunny, one nissan almera saloon car, three honda accord, two toyota sienna, one nissan pathfinder and one mazda, in sango ota, bariga, oworonshoki and shomolu areas of the states.
According to Ibrahim, a gang of another car snatchers who were fond of snatching cars from their owners snatched a toyota highlander jeep from ondo heading to abeokuta where they would escape to benin republic but on sighting the police squad they drop the jeep and one live cartridge and fled away.
Pipeline vandals, six pipeline vandals namely; Ugwoke James, John Williams, Adesina Babalola, Amadi Chikamso, Ojelagun Femi and Ismaila Garuba were arrested with Unregistered Iveco Tanker, Volvo truck, MAN truck, eighteen thousand litres of petroleum products which they had loaded from a vandalised NNPC pipeline at Magboro area of ogun state.
