Edo, Taraba, Anambra and Kwara States now have new Commissioners of Police.
The Commissioners of Police are Johnson Kokumo of Armament, who is now in charge of Edo; David Akinremi Deputy Force Secretary, who has been moved to Taraba, Garba Umar from Bayelsa, to Anambra and Lawan Ado, General Investigation, now posted to Kwara.
The change followed the approval by the Police Service Commission aimed at aiding effective and efficient policing for optimal results.
According to its Chairman, Mike Okiro, the posting have been communicated to the Inspector General of Police, Ibrahim Idris, for implementation, urging the affected officers to rededicate themselves to the service of the nation.
He directed them to quickly settle down and face squarely the peculiar challenges of their respective sate commands,“he said.
Okiro said the commission would continue to play a fatherly role and would support and encourage them in the discharge of their duties.
