The NSCDC paraded the suspects together with 55 drums, each of which contained 250 litres of diesel.
The event took place at the corps’s Badagry District Headquarters, Lagos.
Its Commandant, Lagos State Command, Tajudeen Balogun, said at the event that the corps arrested the suspects at 6.00a.m. on Tuesday at Gberefu Sea Beach a village in Badagry.
Balogun identified the suspects as citizens of Republic of Benin, saying that investigation was ongoing to unveil their collaborators.
He said the agency was working in collaboration with other security agencies to protect lives and property.
“First of all, NSCDC is doing its job the way it should be done. We are working with other security agencies to curtail criminality to the barest minimum,” Balogun said.
He urged Badagry residents to provide the NSCDC with useful information to track criminals destroying the nation’s assets.
He applauded the state government for providing the corps with utility vehicles and gadgets to facilitate its operations.
