President Muhammadu Buhari has called on traditional rulers to form a strong vanguard in support of his fight against corruption in the country.

Buhari also urged the traditional rulers to strip politicians and others found to be corrupt of their chieftaincy titles.

The President who used the opportunity to thank Nigerians for their prayers for his successful return, pledged to serve the country with renewed vigour to meet the yearnings and aspirations of citizens.

He spoke through Minister of Youth and Sports, Solomon Dalong, at the celebration of the Aku Uka of Wukari, Shekarau Angyu’s fortieth anniversary as the Jukun paramount ruler in Wukari, Taraba.

While congratulating the Aku Uka for clocking 40 years on the throne and for his exemplary leadership style since 1976 when he was installed, Buhari prayed God to grant him more years to serve the people.

Governor Darius Ishaku of Taraba commended the Aku Uka for uniting the people of the kingdom.

Ishaku called on the people of the state to continue to support the royal father to enable him to bring more development to his subjects.
