Lagos State Police Command has arrested two robbery suspects, said to be terrorising people along railway lines in Mushin and Agege, Lagos.
The Command said the suspects who always attacked innocent persons along railway line by Moshalasi-Alhaja area of the state were arrested while attempting to rob some persons along the railway lines.
According to Police Public Relations Officer, Dolapo Badmos, the suspects had robbed various victims at gun point but with the swift response of the Police operatives, some stolen items were recovered and taken into custody as exhibits.
Badmos, a Superintendent of Police, said a cut to size locally-made double barrel, six rounds of ammunition, eleven handsets of different brands, laptops, two television sets and wraps of weeds suspected to be Indian hemp were recovered from the suspects.
She said efforts were on to effect the arrest of other gang members currently at large, saying those arrested had confessed to the crime.
The Police image maker, said the suspects have been transferred to the State Anti-Robbery Squad SARS, for further investigation.
