New Unit Commander of Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) in Ota, Ogun, Anthony Osahon has advised his officers to embrace hard work to move the commission to forward.
Osahon who gave the advice at the handing over ceremony of the outgoing Unit Commander, Leye Adegboyega, on Monday in Ota, called on the officers to redouble their efforts in order to overcome challenges of the profession.
He advised them not to allow personal interests to override the general interest in discharging their duties.
The FRSC officials need to learn how to balance the family demands and work demands so that one will not affect the other, ”he said.
Osahon said officers should do what they were expected of them and what they were paid for.
He enjoined them and other stakeholders in Sango-Ota and environs to cooperate to move the command forward.
Earlier, the former Unit Commander, Adegboyega, thanked the officers for their support and implored them to extend same to the new unit commander.
Adegboyega attributed his achievements to the cooperation of members of the officers and appealed to them to be committed to saving lives and properties.
He said the rate of road crashes around Sango Ota had reduced since he took over in July 2015.
