The Ogun State Commissioner of Police, CP Bode Ojajuni, alongside members of his management team, including the Commanding Officer, 16 Police Mobile Force Squadron, the Area Commander, Idiroko, and Commanders of the Explosive Ordnance Disposal Unit and Border Patrol Unit, paid a high-level familiarisation visit to the Acting Customs Area Controller, Ogun I Area Command, Deputy Controller Oladapo Olukayode Afeni, at the Nigeria Customs Service, Ogun I Area Command, Idiroko.

The visit is in a strategic move to strengthen inter-agency collaboration, reinforce border security, and consolidate existing security frameworks.

The Commissioner of Police and his management team were formally received by the Acting Customs Area Controller, Ogun I Area Command, and Chairman of the Joint Border Security Committee, Deputy Controller Oladapo Olukayode Afeni, alongside his management team.

Thereafter, the Commissioner proceeded to an interactive session with members of the Joint Border Security Committee, comprising the Nigeria Immigration Service, Department of State Services, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, Federal Road Safety Corps, Nigeria Forest Guards, Nigeria Agricultural Quarantine Service, So-Safe Corps, Port Health Services, and the Permanent Secretary, Inter-Border Security Formation.

The visit underscores the Command’s commitment to deepening operational cooperation, enhancing intelligence sharing, and building a more coordinated security architecture across Ogun State’s international border corridors.
