Ogun State Commissioner of Police, CP Bode Ojajuni, has received Nigeria Police officer and world boxing champion ASP Olagbade Sulaimon, popularly known as Tyson Kill, alongside the OtaFEST Nigeria Organising Team at the Command Headquarters, Eleweran, Abeokuta.

The courtesy visit was ahead of the 2026 OtaFEST Nigeria Festival.

The delegation was led by Executive Producer and Overall Lead of OtaFEST,  Michael Adebowale, with other members including Director of Operations; Oluwatobi Olaniyi, Director of Trade Fair and Welfare; Diamond Egwu, and Head Coach to Tyson Kill, Olalekan Shoyoye.

The team briefed CP Ojajuni on plans for the 2026 OtaFEST, describing it as a cultural and creative platform to promote African creativity, youth engagement, sports, entertainment, trade, and community development.

A major highlight will be an international boxing contest featuring ASP Sulaimon against a professional boxer from Lithuania, expected to draw local and international attention.

The delegation also commended the Command for its commitment to peace and security and sought continued collaboration for a safe festival.

CP Ojajuni, a sports enthusiast and advocate for youth development, welcomed the delegation and praised OtaFEST’s vision for culture, tourism, and economic empowerment.

He expressed pride in Tyson Kill’s achievements, noting the officer’s record as former Nigerian National Super Welterweight Champion, former WABU and WBU Champion, former IBO and UBU contender, and current World Boxing Body Super Welterweight and Heritage Boxing International Middleweight Champion.

The CP reaffirmed the Command’s commitment to sports development and community policing, and assured the team of adequate security support within lawful frameworks to ensure a peaceful and successful festival.
