
Lagos State Commissioner of Police, CP Tijani Fatai has charged officers to stay proactive and vigilant.
CP Fatai emphasises sustained intelligence gathering, close supervision of personnel, and quick response to threats in their Areas of Responsibility.
Fatai also directed them to maintain professional standards and ensure the same discipline among rank-and-file officers.
He urged the officers to maintain the highest standards of professionalism in the discharge of their duties and disseminate the same to their foot officers.
Fatai made this known at a strategic meeting with Area Commanders, DPOs, PMF and Tactical Commanders to assess security across the State and strengthen operational readiness.
Also, the Police Boss recieved a donation of 200 bulletproof helmets and 200 bulletproof vests for the Command donated by the Lagos State Security Trust Fund, LSSTF to back the effort of the Command.
Fatai thanked LSSTF for the consistent support, saying the equipment will improve operational efficiency and boost morale for officers on frontline and high-risk assignments.
He also appreciated Lagosians for their cooperation and timely information, which he said have driven many of the Command’s successes.
Fatai called for stronger collaboration as police intensify operations to clear criminal elements and keep the State safe for residents and visitors.

The Commissioner of Police, Lagos State Command, CP Tijani Fatai, psc, mnips, today convened a strategic security meeting with Area Commanders, Divisional Police Officers (DPOs), Commanders of the Police Mobile Force (PMF), and Tactical Commanders across the State to review the security situation and reinforce operational readiness.
During the meeting, the Commissioner of Police charged all Commanders to remain proactive, vigilant, and committed to their responsibilities.
He emphasised the need for sustained intelligence gathering, effective supervision of personnel, and prompt responses to security threats within their respective Areas of Responsibility (AOR).
He urged the officers to maintain the highest standards of professionalism in the discharge of their duties and disseminate the same to their foot officers.
In a significant demonstration of support for the Command’s efforts to safeguard lives and property, the Lagos State Security Trust Fund (LSSTF) donated 200 bulletproof helmets and 200 bulletproof vests to the Command.
The donation aligns with the Command’s commitment to enhancing operational efficiency and ensuring the safety of officers deployed for various security assignments across the State.
The protective equipment was formally handed over to the Commissioner of Police by the Executive Secretary of the Lagos State Security Trust Fund (LSSTF), Dr. Ayodele Ogunsan, who reaffirmed the Trust Fund’s commitment to supporting security agencies with the resources required to effectively discharge their responsibilities in safeguarding lives and property.
The Commissioner of Police expressed profound appreciation to the LSSTF and its leadership for their continuous support and partnership in strengthening security infrastructure and improving the welfare and safety of police personnel.
He noted that the protective equipment would not only enhance operational effectiveness but also serve as a morale booster and confidence-building measure for officers engaged in frontline policing and other critical security operations.
The Commissioner of Police also commended the good people of Lagos State for their consistent cooperation, support, and partnership with the Police in maintaining peace and security across the State.
He acknowledged the critical role of residents in providing useful information and supporting law enforcement efforts, which have contributed significantly to the Command’s successes.
