As part of efforts to ensure a hitch-free Easter celebration, the Federal Road Safety Corps, Lagos Sector Command, has deployed officers, men, and operational vehicles across the state.

Its Sector Commander, Corps Commander Kehinde Hamzat, said this along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway corridor as part of a monitoring tour.
Hamzat emphasised the corps’ readiness to ensure safety for all road users during the 2025 Easter festivities.
He said both Regular and Special Marshals have been strategically positioned across major highways, inner roads, and festive routes to ease vehicular movement and ensure safety for all road users throughout the 2025 Easter period.
Hamzat further noted that the FRSC has positioned standby ambulances along critical corridors to provide rapid emergency response and rescue operations.
According to him, there will be standby ambulances positioned along critical corridors for swift emergency response and rescue operations.
In his words; they are also collaborating with relevant traffic and emergency stakeholders to ensure smooth entry and exit of Lagos during this festive period.
To reinforce compliance, Hamzat revealed that mobile courts will be on standby to prosecute traffic offenders on the spot, focusing particularly on high-risk violations.
He said mobile court operations will be active to swiftly prosecute traffic offenders, with a special focus on offences such as drunk driving, speeding, expired tyres, seat belt violation, and use of phones while driving.
Hamzat appealed to motorists to adhere strictly to traffic regulations and cooperate with law enforcement personnel during the holiday period.
According to him, drivers must avoid driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, saying one night of thrill should not lead to a lifetime of regret, Fix your wipers, drive cautiously, and remember, your family awaits you.
He also urged pedestrians and other vulnerable road users to remain alert, avoid unsafe crossing habits, and be conscious of the traffic environment.
The sector commander said Lagos remains committed to a crash-free celebration and encourages all residents to play their part in making this possible.
