The Senate will meet with a federal government delegation on Thursday, December 5, to resolve the criticisms trailing the proposed tax reform bills being considered for passage by the National Assembly.

The Deputy Senate President, Barau Jibrin, disclosed this during plenary on Wednesday.

Barau said the meeting would be held at the National Assembly Complex and that the lawmakers must have extensive interaction with the government before passing the tax reform bills.

He said the Senate minority leader, Abba Moro would lead the senators to the meeting tomorrow.

Other Senators who will attend the meeting as announced by the Deputy Senate President are the Chief Whip, Mohammed Tahir Monguno, Adamu Ailero (PDP, Kebbi Central), Seriake Dickson (PDP – Bayelsa West), Titus Zam (Benue South), Abdullahi Yahaya (Kebbi), Solomon Adeola (APC, Ogun West), Sani Musa (APC – Niger East) and Adetokunbo Abiru (APC – Lagos East).

President Bola Tinubu had on Tuesday directed the Ministry of Justice to work with the National Assembly to address the concerns raised by different stakeholders on the tax reform bills.
