The Assistant Inspector-General of Police, Zone 2 Command. Onikan, Lagos, AlG. Fayoade Adegoke, has set up a 6-man panel to probe the incident which was reported via a video that went viral, recently, where a woman alleged she was detained at Maroko Police Station Cell alongside some male and under-aged individuals.

The panel is consisting of Deputy Commissioner of Police in-charge of Zonal Criminal Investigation Department, DCP. Ajao Adewale, Officer in-charge of Zonal Intelligence Department, ACP. Ogunsakin Gbenga, Group Crime Editor, Vanguard Newspaper, Emma Nnadozie, a Human Rights Activist, Comrade Adeoye Adewunmi, Ivy Kanu of TVC News and a Lawyer and Social worker, Barrister Blessing Afe.

The panel is to be formally inaugurated by AIG. Fayoade, at the M.D Abubakar Conference Hall, Zone 2 Command Headquarters, Onikan, Lagos at 12:00 Noon on Friday, 4th October.

According to a statement by the Zonal Police Public Relations Officer SP Umma Ayuba, the setting up of the panel is in line with the contemporary force leadership stand on respect for human right and gender related matters.
