President Bola Tinubu has announced that his administration has disbursed over N570 billion to the 36 States to enhance livelihood support for their citizens.
President Tinubu made this known in a nationwide broadcast aiming to address Nigerians on the ongoing #EndBadGovernance protests by some Nigerian Youths.
He also said his administration had shown its commitment to the youth by setting up student loans and other youth-friendly policies, saying that they should not allow themselves to be used against the government.
President Tinubu also made known that 75,000 beneficiaries have been processed to receive our N1 million each under the Micro and Small Business single-digit interest loans, beginning from August 2024.
Additionally, the Nigerian Leader also revealed that 10 MSME hubs have been built within 14 months while 240,000 jobs were created through the centres.
He further hinted that the construction of five more hubs is in progress and will be ready by October 2024.
“Also, more than N570 billion has been released to the 36 states to expand livelihood support to their citizens, while 600,000 nano-businesses have benefitted from our nano-grants. An additional 400,000 more nano-businesses are expected to benefit.
“Furthermore, 75,000 beneficiaries have been processed to receive our N1 million Micro and Small Business single-digit interest loans, starting this month. We have also built 10 MSME hubs within the past year, created 240,000 jobs through them and 5 more hubs are in progress which will be ready by October this year.
The President further stated that Payments of N1 billion each are also being made to large manufacturers under the administration’s single-digit loans to boost manufacturing output and stimulate growth.
