All is set for the Radio Lagos anniversary programme tagged Amititi day to showcase the existence of the station in Lagos.

This year’s event is coming up on 28th July, at D’ Arena of Radio Lagos/Eko Fm, Lateef Jakande road, Agidingbi, Ikeja, Lagos.

The Amititi Day prides itself as the foremost vehicle through which rich cultures and lifestyles of the yorubas are disseminated without adulteration.

Music stars expected to thrill at the event include Wasiu Alabi Pasuma, Sule Alao Malaika, Sule Adio Atawewe, Amudalat Aweni Oniwaka, Ahmad Alawiye, and Prince Abel Dosunmu Mega 99.

Others are Wasiu Haruna Ishola, Isa Mirinda, Mistura Temini success, Sabaika, Yomi Peter and a host of others.

General Manager of Radio Lagos/Ekofm, Jide Lawal, promised tight security, conducive atmosphere and absolute fun for all participants during the event.

Lawal explained that the Amitit Day celebration is a spectacular musical concert which boasts of a wide array of the biggest stars in the traditional musical genre.

He disclosed that the annual celebration is the Station’s way of giving back to the community while showcasing its commitment to corporate social responsibility by engaging in a laudable initiative of donating essential items to the less-privileged and treating its listeners to the best of indigenous music.

Lawal added that the Radio Lagos remains a dependable source for reliable government news and entertainment, consistently showcasing its depth and richness in the use of the Yoruba Language.

“The station’s programming is tailored to cater for the diverse needs of its audience, providing news, cultural contents and music that resonates with the grassroots population.

“It was through its corporate social responsibility initiatives and commitment to cultural relevance that the Amititi Day was birthed. Through this, it has continued to solidify its position as a leading radio station which remains an indispensable part of the community it serves.

Meanwhile, as part of activities to mark the Radio Lagos Amititi day celebration, a Road Show took place in the Ikeja environs to sensitise Lagosians of the Amititi Day.

Speaking during the Road Show, Chairman, Amititi Day celebration, Kayode Adumadeyin, said the essence of the day was to promote the station’s identity and celebrate its listeners.

Adumadeyin, the Station’s Director of Marketing, stressed that Radio Lagos had become a house-hold name in the state, in terms of culture and language of the people.
