At least one hundred and fifty-seven people have died in landslides in south-western Ethiopia.
According to the civil protection authority, dozens of people are still missing.
The authority said they are still collecting bodies and the number of casualties were expected to be much higher.
When hundreds of people gathered on Monday to rescue the victims of the disaster, another landslide reportedly occurred.
Due to the heavy rainfall, another rescue operation was initially not possible.
With the start of the rainy season, landslides were not uncommon in the hilly region.
The area was first hit by mudslides on Sunday.
